Joesph is so healthy.
My friend Joseph really needs to start to eat healthier. We were in IT class talking about healthy eating and all that jazz, and checking out Canada’s food guide. What I’ve learned about his normal diet he, like most teen aged boys, eats quite a bit. He was telling me about how he had an instant breakfast yesterday, no lunch, but quite a bit of dinner. It included 4 microwavable pastas, eggs, and toast. But that isn’t all, throughout his day, he likes to snack. Chips, pizza bagel, breakfast sandwich, hash brown, jolly ranchers, ice cream sandwich, ice cream cone, french bread were the foods he ate as snacks YESTERDAY. No other day. Our food guide recommends that teens 14-18 should have 8 Vegetables and fruit, 7 grains, 3-4 Milk and alternatives and 3 meats. Joesph had next to no vegetables, 9 grains but only 4 of them were whole grain, 4 meats, and 18 dairy products. NOt bad, but the food also weren’t that healthy.
Exercise wise, Joesph is pretty good. He play rugby at school which is quite tough. He plays it most lunchs so about 3-4 times a week. Judging by the Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines, he’s doing pretty good.
