So a few days ago in IT, we were using a website called Drive of your life to find out what careers would go well with our personalities and interests. Some of my careers included Writing, Editing, Art Director, Investigating, and Managing. I mostly looked at Editing, Writing and Investigating. Although all three are careers that I would love to go into, i personally would like to spend more time in school than needed to be a Detective Inspector, so even if I’m not on the right track, I’ll still quite a few years of valuable schooling. I think out of those three options though, Editing in the job I’m looking at the most. The job area is shrinking, which is an advantage and a disadvantage, it means that although there wouldn’t be as many people to compete for jobs, there would be less job offers. I also like that there are regular hours, because with writing I’m not sure how motivated I would be to keep on writing. But above all else, I think this job is great because I would still be doing english, I would (hopefully) be going over fiction, and I could work with some really talented writers. So out of all of the jobs I’ve looked at on this site, the editing is one that really stuck out to me.
