SBC-Week 2
Hi it’s Alex, back with another blog post. This week, we did week 2 for the Student Blogging Challenge.
The first task we had this week was to create some form of commenting guidelines, click here to see mine from last year.
Next, I commented on three peoples blogs:
First, I commented on Dominic’s blog. I decided to comment on his blog because how found it super interesting how he was super passionate about music and that he could maybe become a musician one day.
Next, I commented on Grace’s blog. She is from …. talked about how she loved basketball and wanted to maybe become a vet one day, just like me! I commented on her blog because I thought that we had lots in common already!
Next I commented on Niamh’s blog. She talked about her love for Basketball and the band Queen. She also mentioned that she was in 6th grade and going into secondary school the next year. I decided to comment on her blog to talk about what we have in common and that we went to secondary school after grade seven.
See you in my next blog post!
Hello my name is Faith! I’m from Canada and I’m also doing Week 2: Student Blogging Challenge. Not gonna lie, you’re actually good at writing/typing comments. I’d like to be like you. I like how you’re so positive in your comments and how you connect yourself so easily in these blogs. While I was reading I saw that you were more focused on punctuation on your comments than your actual blog. One thing that you should do in your comments is say your own opinions, like what you do like and don’t.
Hi Faith! Thank you for your critique and I will try to focus more on my opinions and what I like and don’t like on my next comments!
Hi Alex,
You have been busy commenting on others’ blogs. I like the way you found things in common to comment on.
I also checked out your blogging guidelines from last year. I was interested to see that you showed us what not to do rather than what to do.
The age or class level at which people enter high school or secondary school seems to vary around the world. Here in Queensland, Australia, where I live, children used to enter secondary school after year seven. It recently changed and they now enter after year six. In fact, many years ago, when I was at school, I was among the first to enter high school in year eight. Prior to that, year eight had been in primary school. As ‘they’ say, nothing stays the same forever.
Best wishes,
Norah
Hi Norah,
Thank you! It is super cool how different the education systems are in different parts of the world.
I agree, Lexie. It is very cool, and interesting too. Learning about life in other parts of the world is one of my favourite things about blogging.
Enjoy!
Norah
Hi Alex,
The layout of your blog is really good. It really directs my eye to what I’m supposed to read. Also the colours really bring out the text and make it pop. The banner at the top with a picture doesn’t really fit with the theme though. Overall really good!
