T-POLS: A REFLECTION
Welcome to my very first tPOL! Yayyyyyy! Unlike my mPOL from the past, I now have a slight idea as to what I am doing. Sort of.
A tPOL, to me, is a reflection of my work, a look back at the past year to see what I’ve done well and what I could improve upon. So, I’ll be going through two sections: SUCCESS and NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. I will finish with how I will carry out in the future with my work, and what bad habits I will leave behind. I’ll keep this introduction short and sweet so we can jump into the reflection!
SUCCESS
What am I proud of?
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
What were some of my not-so-successful moments?
REFLECTION and FUTURE PLANS
How did my successes and mistakes affect my learning and overall experience of Grade 9? What do I want to continue to do in the future, and what habits do I want to break?
T-Pols are a nice opportunity to reflect on what works with my learning strategies and what doesn’t. It’s an opportunity for me to appreciate what I’ve learned and also what I could have done better. Without both success and failure, I would never be able to improve and grow as a learner, so I’m grateful for the opportunity to have support to reflect on my learning and develop the ability to critique myself properly. In the future, I want to continue to do my best work, of course. I want to improve my skills of working within group projects, and break habits of bad communication. I also want to maintain my ability to give myself constructive criticism, as I mentioned, and continue to constantly go over my projects and think of ways to make them even better, while still stopping ever so often to appreciate efforts I’ve put in to produce quality work.
