Element of Suspense

How Does Conan Doyle Create Suspense And Tension In The Sherlock Holmes Stories? Conan Doyle writes crime fiction, and crime fiction should always have a build in tension and suspense. It’s what makes it a good story. Good authors like Conan Doyle, knows that reader want to read something that comes right at your face, but you also want room to feel uncomfortableness. It’s almost like the crescendo of a classical music; it should build at a predictable rate. The reader also needs to believe that what is happening could happen, may have happened, will happen in our world. Lastly, Conan Doyle creates suspense by explaining the atmosphere in the story ,and telling you what is around you ,and what the people are doing around you. Therefore, these are the reason that I think what it makes the Sherlock Holmes really suspenseful. Although, what I was talking about is a book, but it still apply for the movie that I’ve watched.

These are some example of the suspense that I am talking about, however some are not from the movie.
