So… Star Wars…Where do I even begin. So much to stay, yet but nothing learned…. Well I learned a lot about Star Wars because I had never seen any of them… But not really anything that I will ever use outside of flight. I am not saying that I had fun making this projects, I did, watching all the movies and eating pizza, that was a blast… In my point of view… If you give a project out to a class, you should give them class time to work on it. I can’t lie, I did procrastinate on this project mainly because I didn’t want to get started on it, which lead to me being a bit stressed out on it. Smart idea Anatolia!
Staring on this project was hard because our teachers said “your project can not be something that just has Star Wars added to it… But Star Wars has to have influenced it”. This confused me so much, leading me to take forever to chose what I wanted to do. That seems to happen a lot with Blue Sky projects.
Once I chose my question, which was “Can I create a scene from Star Wars using shadow theatre art?”, I had to gather people to be in it. Long story short, I used my cousin Lily and my friend Brianna. We practised a few times, but defiantly could have practised a lot more.
It was the day of the exhibition, all was stressful in the Seycove Secondary PLP class. Everyone was running setting up there area and getting any last final touches for their projects. Setting up mine was very very arm numbing. I had to hang a sheet from the roof using fish wire… Lucky one of my other tall friends was nice enough to help me. Let me just tell you one thing…This was not easy. After a whole bunch of fish wire, blood draining from your arms, and maybe a few tears… It was up!
Now the actual performance… I had it set up so every 20 minutes I would perform it. The first or second was was probably the best, in my opinion.

But the third one was really bad/funny…mostly bad. Nolan one of my classmates decided he was going to do the last performance with me… He only practiced for around 10 minutes… And didn’t get very far so we knew we would have to wing the rest…. Not a good idea! The beginning was fine… We had the first 30 second choreographed, after that it just went downhill. It ending in me hitting Nolan in the end a few times with the lightsaber and laughing non stop, cause it was so bad.
Overall I thought that is project probably could easily avoided, but I had fun making it. This project has actually brought me closer with Star Wars, I never really thought I would like it very much, but…I am excited for the next one to come out!
