Music is so universal. Itโ€™s existed for so long, it is created and enjoyed all over the world and everyone can enjoy it because there is so many different aspects to it. I personally canโ€™t play an instrument or sing to save my life but I do enjoy listening to music for many different reasons. Often itโ€™s to help me focus while doing homework or to help me fall asleep. Other times it is for entertainment or just because I come across it in my daily life. For example, maybe you are in a store and there is a song playing or your friend introduces you to their favourite artist. Music is everywhere and this week Iโ€™m asking myself how do we use music?ย

Task #1: Create a Survey

I created a survey mainly asking how do you use music? This task is great way to see other perspectives that help me answer my questions. I used google forms to create it. I cant wait to see what you say.

Task #2: Tell us About an Instrument

One way to use music is by creating it. Instruments help people make music! I love the calming, echoey sound of the acoustic guitar. An example of this is the acoustic cover of Free Fallinโ€™ by John Mayer.ย

Now that youโ€™ve heard what it sounds like, Iโ€™ll tell you about the instrument itself. The acoustic guitar works by creating sound with six vibrating strings. The guitar has a hollow body which amplifies the sound waves created by the strings. The player plucks the strings to create sound. There are many different types of acoustic guitars especially because they have been around for so long but the common acoustic guitar looks like these photos from Unsplash:

Task #3: Discuss Music and the Law

Another way we use music is in work. For example, music is a great addition to a video you made! When you are doing this it is important to understand the laws of music. Copyright applies to music too so youcant just take someone elseโ€™s music. Here is how you can use music safely!

Thats the end of this post,

see you next week.

    Dear Asha,

What an insightful post! Loved reading it as it contains your opinion, examples and you make great use of whatโ€™s being shared by Mrs Morris in her weekly posts.
What a great example of a good blog post. I couldnโ€™t answer your survey, though, as the link is unavailable. Could you please check it?
Congrats and best wishes for your blogging endeavours,
