Thank you to all those parents who organized and participated in last night’s magical evening at the Pinnacle Hotel on lower Lonsdale. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to talk to so many parents in a relaxed setting, and to meet some parents for the first time.

The focus for the fundraiser was on emergency preparedness, and having fun in the process. The band sounded great, but I am sorry to say that I have forgotten their name.

Thank you to all the people or companies who donated to the silent auction. There were many wonderful things up for bid, and there some interesting bidding wars for some of the items. I think I even saw someone sitting on one of the silent auction sheets so that no one else could bid, but I must be mistaken. 🙂

The students were able to participate by painting ceramic wares or painting Adirondack (or Muskoka) chairs that were up for auction. I must admit to not bidding on the student art – I was not able to pick favourite chair or ceramic platter or bowl. Theme baskets were also available to be bid on, as well a beautiful bench, some awesome art, and many other items.

We are truly fortunate to have so many people who support our school through volunteering, fundraising, organizing events, helping us plan for emergencies, and the many other activities that help support our school community.
