“Thank you for coming to my presentation of learning. I am the expert on my own learning. I am also responsible and accountable for my own learning. You can expect me to give an honest evaluation of my progress. We will discuss my strengths and opportunities for growth. Thank you in advance for listening and for offering feedback that I can use to improve as a learner.”

At the start of this year I told myself in my learning plan that I would make higher quality work than I ever have. Five projects later I am here to reflect on my progress as a learner and what is next for me.

The Good

Over five projects I have been able to refine the quality of work that I have been able to produce. in previous years I did not create work that I was happy with, there was always more that I could have done. but finally this year I have gotten to a point that I would be happy with or that I don’t think that I could improve upon. the best example that I have would be the spring exhibition that just happened over this project I created, what I think to be the best final product that I have ever create. this brings me back to what was said in my MPOL, the why. Over the course of the year I took the time to consider what could make me more engaged in the topic that the project at hand is about. Through this consideration I have been able to become a more engaged student that has been able to create the best quality work he has ever created. I think that most of the final products that I have created this year speak to what I have said.

The bad

Over the course of this year I have Identified that while I have grown as a learner I think that there is much more growth to be had. while the amount of completed work is higher than last year I have not completed blogposts for recent projects. on top of the lack of display of my reflection I think I have also neglected one of the main things that I mentioned in my MPOL, this being seeking feedback on work. I recognized that one of the main things that I could do to create even higher quality work is to get feedback from peers and teachers on the work that I have done.

Where I am headed

With confidence I can say that the growth that I have had as a learner this year will continue into next year and grow exponentially with my gained knowledge of what works and what doesn’t work for me. I believe that I am ready for grade 12.
