Some things I have learned from the deep cove business ad are pretty simple.

The simple do’s and don’t’s. Colour contrast is key for aesthetics, people want an ad that is appealing to the eye. Centred Writing : people want everything centred and clean, unless you’re going for messy. Pictures: mostly people want ads with pictures because they want to view more than read. That was important because I was always putting too many words on my starter ads. Simple ads in general: I was making my ads way too complex, too many words, too little pictures, and terrible colour contrast.

Now let’s do a run down of my drafts, from beginning to the end.

The first one was a wreck and I’ll admit that. The background was white, the pictures are off centered, the words are also off centered, one of the mini paragraphs is black instead of blue, and I could go on. Finally, I think that the main problem for me is the photosho on the smoothie is…TERRIBLE! Here it is…

Please vote your opinion on this stat poll, ( be nice).

This is the only poll I will do because my ego has already taken too much abuse…

The next ad was a lot better. It was looking more professional and I was pleased. The colours were vibrant. The other thing that I used was a picture from their instagram. I will give a link to their business in the end. However, there were still problems with this ad. The font I used looked good but was hard to read. Also I forgot to add a tagline. Other than that it was pretty good, so here is that one…

Next is the revised version of this ad. Though a lot better, I felt that it was still missing something, so this is not the final ad. I had added a tagline, moved the address, fixed the writing, and even added their business descriptor (what they call themselves). So, overall, I was learning a lot. Also this is before Pound and Grain, an advertising business that was going to critique our ads. So here is that ad…

This next ad is the final ad and, MY best one… it is not the group’s. In our group, we had to pick two ads. I was happy when they picked mine. They also picked my friend Ally’s. To say the least, her ad was one of the best ads produced by any group. Anyway, let’s continue on with my final ad draft. With it I had completly switched the loos. I redesigned it with the things I had learned above. With a new picture and format it was ready. Here is that ad…
