Hi Guys and welcome back! Today I’m doing a review on my DI experience.
DI ( Check it out )is a very interesting program that until the challenge I had no idea about. It is a program where kids get to be creative and do really cool challenges of all ranges. This year the topic of challenges were Improv, engineering, sound FX, medical, and fine art. I was in the Improv category.
The Improv was super fun. Yes it is stressful, but so is everything. Some say that since improv didn’t have to build anything we had it easy, that however was not the case. For our challenge we had to research eight figureheads ( Historic figures on coins ) I chose golden panda, and Nelson Mandela. I didn’t have to preform those but they were on the table and still are. When it is challenge time, the appraisers ( judges ) gave us two characters, a story, and a flip. The flip is basically a flip in the story line. Also the act then changes from verbal to non-verbal, and it also changes from comidic to tragic. With all of this we did our presentation and came first out of our category. It was really fun and I can’t wait to do it again. And guess what, WE CAME FIRST!!! Here our some pics:
