For the past while in Scimatics we have been learning about chemistry. The first thing we did was get into partners to do this we did a fun little activity. For this activity we all got a card that had an element on it and we had to try and find the person with the element we needed. My partner was Luciano so all the rest of the work in this post was done with him.

Before we started any of the projects for this unit we learned about ionic and covalent bonding. 

Ionic bonding is where one atom gives electron(s) to another atom so that the both have full valence shells and then they bond because they are of opposite charges.

Covalent bonding is where atoms bond with each other and share electrons to complete their valence shells.

Well we were doing that we also were learning how to animate in keynote using Magic Move and the transitions. After we had learned that stuff our humanities and Scimatics classes joined for the next two projects because we where going to be creating stories with chemical bonding by using the elements as our characters. 

Then for the first project for this you unit we had to made a story that had an ionic and a covalent bond so Luciano and I decided to use two sodium and H2O: here is our video:
