Uh oh, copyright?

It’s week 3 of the student blogging challenge and today’s topic is copyright. And why you should never ever ever ever use copyrighted images or audio. It’s just a bad idea. First off, it’s illegal. Secondly, you just took credit for someone else’s hardwork. If you’re struggling to find images for your blog and projects here are some good ways to find and use non-copyrighted images.

Using your own stuff:

Using your own image or drawing can show creativity. Additionally, when using your own drawing you can choose what you’re wanting to show. For example, if you were trying to show a diagram of a scientific process you could show it the way you think it would be best understood by your audience. Using your own photo make sure your project will be independent and unique to you!

Copyright free images:

If you can’t draw or take pictures there’s always the option of using non copyrighted images, which can allow you to get a better more polished look. Here as some helpful ways to get non copyrighted images:

a) using Creative Commons

b) websites such as Pixbay

c) using the google usage right filter

That’s it for week 3! Be on your toes for the next one,
