Some things that I learned about using images online are most of them ARE NOT FREE. If you do end up using them and the creator finds out they will force you to pay them money for the rights of using that particular photo and it probably won’t be cheap. A good way to tell if the photo is free or not is if it has a watermark on it or not, if it does chances are you have to pay for it, if not then it’s probably a Creative Commons picture. Speaking of Creative Commons these images are free but you have to meet some pretty specific requirements to be able to use that photo. However sometimes it’s worth it, if it means that you blog is going to look amazing. One more type of photo you need to know about is the completely free, no strings attached, type of photo, also known as the royalty free photo. If you can find a photo that is royalty free, and it looks amazing, then use it because that is the best type of photo you could possibly find. In the end, it is always best to try to use at least one picture in a post, just to spice things up a bit. It gives the reader’s brain a break and let’s them enjoy a picture that matches you’re writing.
