2018 PLP Oregon Trip

What We Did In Oregon

  • Cabela’s
  • The Astoria Column
  • Highlife Adventures Ziplining
  • Marine Discovery Tours
  • Yaquina Head
  • Fred Meyers
  • The Golden Corral

Hi guys, this year my class and I went down to Oregon to study marine life and to also get us to socialize with each other. We had a blast because off all the great places Ms.Willemse, Mr.Hughes, and Ms.Maxwell took us too. I have made a book about the Oregon trip so if you would like to take a look here it is.

Due to the fact that we went to so many amazing places I’ve narrowed them down into a list of my top three, enjoy!

Number Three: Tillamook Creamery

At the bottom of the list we have the Tillamook Creamery also known as The Tillamook Cheese Factory. Though it is at the bottom of my list it is still amazing there, they’ve just redone the visitors center, and I have to say, it looks great. However there is a reason that it is at the bottom of the list and that is the lack of stuff to actually do there. The only thing you can do there is read about where they get the milk and how they make their products. There is also a cheese tasting area that has some of the best cheese I have ever tasted and a great gift shop with even more cheese and other gifts for all you Christmas needs. I actually got this really nice hat for my mom, she loved it!

Number Two: Pig n’Pancake, Cannon Beach

My second choice is Pig n’Pancake in Cannon beach. Now there is a specific reason I said Cannon Beach, it’s because each Pig n’Pancake is it’s own experience. We went to the one in Cannon Beach and I’m happy we did, we were seated in a cozy room in the back of the restaurant, the food was out very fast and it was delicious. I would highly recommend getting the Pigs in a Blanket, it is three buttermilk pancakes with a pork sausage rolled inside of and comes with a side of applesauce. However if your more a lunch person I would say get the chicken tenders, they are equally delicious to the three pigs in a blanket. I would one hundred percent recommend this to any one of my friends.

Number One: Highlife Adventures

My number one pick is Highlife Adventures, it is a locally owned zip lining course that takes you through a beautiful forest of cedar trees and over a stunning lake. You don’t need to worry about falling because  the staff are trained professionals and  will guide you through the course while playing games to keep you all entertained. There is also a great bar they have there too that you can go and have a drink at once you’re done with your amazing tour of the Oregon forest. Honestly, this was one of the best places we went the whole trip and if your going anywhere close to Warrenton, Oregon this summer, I say go for it, book a adventure you will never forget. All in all this trip was amazing and I can’t wait for the next.
