Hey guys, this week’s theme for the SBC is Celebrations and Festivities and I decided that I would share my family’s Christmas traditions with you. My family celebrates Christmas and we have multiple traditions, like going to our family friend’s house on Christmas Eve to have an amazing roast. However, there’s one tradition that’s a lot more personal to me. If you don’t know my sister and I do dance, more specifically ballet, and every year our dance school puts on The Nutcracker with all the students in ballet. This year I decided that I didn’t want to take part in The Nutcracker but my sister is still doing it so I’m going to see her. For the ballet each grade up to grade 5 ballet has a specific role they play in the nutcracker but from grade 6 onward you have to audition for solos and groups. My sister just got into grade six this year and is in the trio that is supposed to represent green tea and she is also a mouse in the battle scene! I’m really proud of her and cant wait to see her on stage. For the second task of this week, I’ve decided to write a poem about Nutcracker. Enjoy!
We Dance For The Applause
Every Sunday from September
The dancers have been working
To make sure every member
Executes the dance their doing
Every hour is gruelling
Learning all these dances at once
And one of their only payoffs
Is the KFC for lunch
We stay their for thirteen hours
Only leaving once or twice
But all the work we do is worth it
Since the applause we get is nice
