The Police Christmas Party

Hey guys, this week’s theme was celebration and festivals so with Christmas approaching I thought it only appropriate that I write about my Christmas traditions. Every year my family and I go down to Richmond for The, as I like to call it, Police Christmas Party. This year is probably my last year going to it due to the fact that last year was the last year I could get presents. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that anyone 12 and under gets a free present when their parents buy the tickets.

This year’s buffet was average, it was nighter good nor bad, but the eggs actually tasted better than usual. The bacon was great as usual, but the pancakes were dry and tasted like rubber. I’m not going to be super nit-picky just because I don’t really have that high expectations for a buffet that was probably made in thirty minutes.

This year there weren’t that many rides to go on this year but they did still have bumper cars so that was the first ride we went on that day. Apparently they had to pour a bunch of water on the cars and ground for some reason so the seats were soaked, but it was still fun.

The next ride my friend and I went on was hang glider ride, it was a lot of fun especially since Paige and I were screaming “It’s a Whole New World” at the top of our lungs. Paiges mom was also taking pictures of us while we were on the rides too. Here’s a video that I took while we were on the ride.

After we went on all the good rides Paige and I decided to go on a bouncy castle, what was weird about the particular bouncy castle we decided to go on was that if was made to look like a fire truck even though we were at a police event. The best part of this particular castle was that you got to jump out of a “window” that was maybe nine or ten feet off the ground, luckily there’s a big pillow that you jump onto.

Soon it would be time for us to leave so Paige and I decided to go and get our faces painted. We both got snowflakes but they look totally different from each other, mine was pure white while her’s was fifty shades of blue. You can also get glitter tattoos but the line was pretty long and only one person was doing them anyways.

My family and I left after the face painting, and though I am too old to get a present my sister is still young enough to get one, and guess what she got: a Best Buy gift card.

    Hi Grace!
Wow it sounds like you had an awesome time a the police Christmas party! Are your parents police? What is your favourite type of breakfast?
    Kira!

    1. Hi Kira, my Dad is the Police officer in my family, he works with the VPD, and my favorite breakfast item to have there is probably the bacon because it always tastes good.
      Sincerely,
      Grace
