Welcome back to yet another school blog post…
shouldn’t be anything new to you, just like every other blog post for scimatics I go over, basic project introduction, core competencies and of course a good intergration of media.
To start off this is a scimatics prject about eloectricy and incopperating elecicity into our own original robe Goldberg machine.
Just like 90% of all our toyher scimatics prject, we were all put into groups. I was luck enogh to work with both Ava and Fraser, again.
To start off this prject of course there has to be a mind map ⬇️
Directly after the mind map we went straight into our countless workbook and textbook pages
Then we went off to loon lake for humanities for a week
.
and after ALL this working, learning, planning and understanding, Ava Fraser and I cam Euh with this⬇️
oh! And How could we forget about the curricular competencies!!
Four separate competencies were presented through this project. examples of each competency include:
questioning and predicting🤔:
- using all class time effectively
- Haines everything in complete and on time
- being proud of the final product
reasoning and analyzing🧐 :
- the final blueprint
- making appropriate predictions and assumptions
- the final blueprint including all the following; drawn on grid scale, all parts are measured accurately and all lines and materials are easily distinguished.
Planning and conducting 📋:
- Using all provided equipment appropriately (voltmeter, power source, cables etc.)
- probely recording and measuring; current, resistance and voltage
- using the apportaient symbols to showed unit of measurement (Eg.Ω = ohms)
scientific communication 📡:
- Our video shows multiple angels of each function of our machine to show you exactly what’s happening
- have a clear consistent voice over explain what and why about our project
- We have a strong connection to metaphors about the scientific method
In the end Ava, Fraser and I got a 🌈 overall for our final machine, video and planning.
