Hey guys I’m back✌️! And only 21 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS, but whatever who’s counting anyways. Today we’re gonna talk about dun dun dun…… coding! Basically this week was all about learning to code. Personally I have no clue how to code and I’m pretty bad, but week 9 was really still fun. Task one was sending a comment to an incredible person named Alex.
In case you don’t know who Alex is, that can be quickly remedied. Alex is an incredible person who has some sight disabilities. Alex is a 17 year old boy who is fully blind, but he is incredibly talented at coding. We were supposed to write a comment to Alex asking a question about him and his coding. Here is my comment (below).
For our second task we did an “Hour of Code”. Basically we did a task from the hour of code website. I choose flappy bird! The website walked us through the basic steps of coding the flappy bird game, once you had finished those you built your own game! Here is my flappy bird game, where I coded it so that when you pass an obstacle your character changes!
For our last task we had to try some real life coding! We had to put code into our blog post using the text tab in the new post section. The text tab shows you all the code in your blog. Here (below) is a screenshot of the code I added to the word coding, to make it italic!
Thanks for listening guys! Week 9 for sure taught me more about coding, especially about applying some of my newfound knowledge in the real world by adding some of my own coding to my blog! I really enjoyed week 9 and learning more about coding. Well see you later… AND 21 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!! Bye all ✌️!

Hi Holly!
I love your post, it is super engaging and the way you write really flows and makes it easy to read. Before this challenge I really didn’t know how to code at all either to be honest. Hahaha! I hope you are enjoying PLP so far and I hope to see you around!

Hey Jordyn!
Thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoyed my post! Coding is pretty hard isn’t it? It’s fun once you get the hang of it though. I’m very much enjoying PLP so far (the winter exhibition is pretty stressful though). I’ll definitely see you around!
