So far in scimatchics, we’ve done a few mini experiments each day as an introduction to this year.

The first one we did was the black box experiment. The basic idea was to to guess what item out was inside the opaque box. We were given 11 possibilities and had to run different tests to figure it out.

The second thing we did was write down the scientific method for a mythbusters video we watched. The experiment was to see if greenhouse gases cause global warming. So every group had to correctly write down all the steps they took, and the results.

The last experiment was very difficult. We had to create as much light possible with two batteries, Christmas lights, and wires. My group played around with different ideas until we found out what worked best.

To summarize everything we learned we created a mind map about the scientific method, but I also included how the experiments went.
