In science this term I completed a few different projects and assignments. However my favourite part of this year in science has been the labs. <<
My favourite lab was the baking soda, vinegar and raisins experiment. During the experiment we had to apply the observation as well as the safety rules we learned earlier in the year. We started with goggles because we learned any time there is glass or chemicals involved in the lab, goggles are a necessity. Next we got the equipment that we needed which included three different size beakers, vinegar, baking soda and raisins. First we placed the raisins in the vinegar alone and took notes of what we saw.

My strengths were measuring out the liquids and following the directions to set up the experiment. In the future I need to improve the detail I use when putting my observations on paper. I will do this by writing down everything I see as if I have no idea what the experiment is so I don’t make inferences that could keep me from seeing the experiment from multiple angles.
