This year my group was successful at the Destination Imagination tournament. We came in third out of three, but I am convinced that if we weren’t penalized for a small technicality we would’ve come in first. When we first started DI, I really didn’t understand the concept or the goal. Along the way I realized along the way that the proccess is more important than the destination. I realized that this is really in the title Destination Imagination. The real purpose is to think critically, to solve problems from a new angle. This is important for our generation these days, when a lot of people don’t think as much for themselves and more and more things are being done for them. I now love the philosophy behind Destination Imagination, and agree with the goal they are strying to achieve.
