This is my first blog post of Grade 10 and it will also be my shortest one ever as I have been limited to 200 words. In this short post I am just going to quickley bring up one of my first tasks of the year and the book I have been assigned: Don’t get Caught by Kurt Dinan.

This book is one piece of our latest project with the driving question of “how do authors use text to teach us”.The book follows Max and a few of his friends as they attempt to get revenge on another group of students who framed them for a prank.

I chose to read the book just because it seemed interesting and none of the other books really appealed to me. My group and I will eventually be making a trailer based of the book as if it were to be made into a movie. I am enjoying the book so far and If I were to make any predictions then I would probably say that in the end the main character and his friends achieve their goal of revenge.

We recently finished our first book challenge after hitting the first reading goal and had to make a video involving three different scenes from the book. We could only use scenes from the first 5 chapters and we had 15 minutes to record and the rest of the day to edit. The final product will be linked below with all three scenes.

I am excited to start this project and am looking forward to this year.
