This week we learned a lot about Shakespeare and the environment he lived in. We learned it was hard to start a theatre presentation without the audience getting bored. The entertainment back then was pretty crazy from whore houses to a pack of dogs fighting a bear. That would be pretty cool to if they had that still today, because I would watch a pack of dogs fight a bear to see who would win. Going from that to sitting in a theatre watching a play. The play would have to be good, and if the play wasn’t good anything the crowd has would be thrown at the performers, food, beer, anything the crowds hands are on. So I could see how hard it would be to have good play so Shakespeare had to be very good. Then he was Shakespeare masters the art of theatre. We also learned about debating. We learned that debating is like a sport. You have to practice and practice for the big game or the big debate. Debating takes a lot of skill. Anything goes in a debate. For example if the other person says the sky is purple and the other person doesn’t answer, the sky is purple for that debate. To be good at debating you have to be good at talking, you have to be able to convince others that your right about something and have something to pop in your head right when the opponent says something. That is what we have learned this week in flight class.
