Benjamin Franklin was an    extremely successful man in his life time. He was a journalist, a scientist, an artist, a founding father, and many more. He was a true Renaissance man!

his first accomplishment in life was when he started up his own newspaper and his second, when he married his child hood sweetheart, Deborah read. Along with running a quaint shop that he ran with his wife, Ben also ran a book shop that was quite successful.

Benjamin then continued to create the first comic for the Pensilvania gazette and then, not soon after that in 1731 ,built a library because books were so expensive to buy and were rather hard to come by.in 1751, Ben made a group that soon became the Pensilvania hospital. Fun fact! : both the library and the hospital are still in use today!

In 1745, Ben retired his newspaper business to start following his love of science. Ben created swimming flippers, the heat efficient stove, bifocals, and many more! In the early 1750s, Ben became interested in electricity this the famous kite and key experiment took place.

In 1765, Benjamin was surprised when the stamp act took place and it got him wondering if America should be separated from England. Having many friends in England however, Ben decided to try to start the United colonies and constantly worked to see that happen.

Farther down Benjamin’s time line, he decided that the thing that they needed was the Declaration of Independence. (Which Thomas Jefferson wrote for the most part)

Franklin died on April 17, 1790 at the age of 84. And 20,000 people attended the funeral. Everything Benjamin did was for the people and at the end of his life, he had a lot of fans.
