Hello there, this past term my class has been looking at the interwar years. We have looked at significant topics and written essays. We have even taught them to our classmate and teachers, through games, presentations and activities.
WHAT ARE THE INTERWAR YEARS?
The interwar years were events that occurred between the Great Depression, the roaring 20s, and the stock market crash of 1929, etc. The interwar years also talked about women’s rights, the economy, taxes, drug usage and alcohol smuggling.
In our class we have studied and discussed the main events of the interwar years such as the Great Depression. Currently we are learning about the rise of Hitler and how he has impacted many lives in society today.
INTERWAR YEARS PROJECT TOPICS
I had the opportunity to choose between the stock market crash, the Great Depression, and the King Bying crisis.
Above all these topics I decided to choose the Women’s Suffrage Movement Of 1848. For this project my classmates and I were required to create a 5 minute activity that we could share with the class that related to our topic. As well as a 5 minute presentation talking about the significance of the topic. As well as a little bit of background information, important figures, and jobs.
PROJECT ON THE SUFFRAGE MOVEMENT OF 1848
For my topic on The Suffrage Movement.
I chose to talk about the the significant female leaders of the movement, why they were significant, how they changed women’s lives in history, what movements they created, and how they are impacting the world as we know it today. I had also chosen to talk about the jobs women took on during the time of world.
WHAT MAKES AN EVENT SIGNIFICANT?
– Our main and driving Question
This project was all about finding the significance of the event during the time and how it has greatly impacted us in modern day today.
MY FINDING OF SIGNIFICANCE ON THE TOPIC OF THE SUFFRAGE MOVEMENT
During my time researching the suffrage movement I found out that the movement gave women rights after about one decade, and without the vote, women would not be running for politics and holding strikes.
Conclusion
Overall I believe that this movement, has given women a chance to prove themselves and offer new strategies and ideas in problem solving. The movement has also proved that women are strong, are able to multitask, offer strong organizational skills and are very nurturing. I also believe that without this movement, women and girls at school would not be here.
