Science bonds

This term has come to and end, and so has our science unit. In this unit we focused on atoms, matter, the periodic table, and Bohr models! We mainly learned about ionic and covalent bonding, and did a project on these 2 things!

To start off the unit, we first learned about everything we needed to for this project, and took some notes on it!

We also created a kind map of what we already knew about these topics, before learning bait them.

And then we made another one after the unit, about everything we have learned.

Now, we started the project. I did my entire project with my partner, Melika. We had to choose some elements from the periodic table that would be shown in the video that we made.

In the video, we had to explain both covalent and ionic bonding. If you are wondering what these are, here is a quick explanation.

Ionic bonding is a chemical bond formed between two ions with opposite charges. Ionic bonds form when one atom gives one or more of their electrons to another atom.

Covalent bonding is a chemical bond where 2nor more atoms share electrons, and become a pair.

Then we started in the video, and we made it using explain everything. Our video was about an element that was forced on a trip, and he bonds with another element, and his friend that he went on the trip with also found a new friend to bind with. Here is the video!

This unit has taught me so much, and it was very fun!
