✨t-Pols✨

Hello welcome back to my blog today I am doing my t-Pols which is basically a summary of all my PLP courses in my school year. I am going to sort my courses in order of class during the week.

I am going to start with Science! When this class started we were learning about earthquakes and tsunamis, then we started a unit on living things and cells, after we completed that one we started on electromagnetic radiation which has been our last unit. I am proud to say that science has been one of my favourite classes this year because it’s as been something that interests me for a while now.

Now I’m going to talk about Humanities which is going to include a lot more coverage so lets jump right in! At the start of this class we learned about advertisement, then we moved into worldview and made a story of our lives, next was religion then we finished it off by re-writing the lyrics to “its the end of the world as we know it” to make it about what we had learned, our second last project was about European expansionism and pirates in this unit we made group comics to show our learning , and last of all we learned about Shakespeares play “The Tempest” as well as colonization and to reflect on what we learned we made tableau’s explaining both.

The third subject I am going to be talking about is Math which should be decently short. In math we started with integers and order of operations, moved into percents ant ratio’s, finished squares and Pythagoras, surface area and volume, fraction operations, algebra, and linear equations. We did not have any big projects around math this year which was nice so now I am going to move into my next section!

The next class I am going to be talking about is Maker which might take some time. Maker is a class that has taken no breaks this whole year there has been no stop to the work grind, we started with learning to work the apps, we next started the blogging challenge right here on our blogs, the following project was photo’s and angles, then we learned about growth mindsets and our long term and short term goals which was kind of PGP, next came destination imagination, then blue sky which is right now!

The last class i am going to talk about is PGP which should be short. In PGP we learned a couple things to help us in life as we grow suck as, what we really want which helped us set realistic goals for ourselves, then we had our mPOL, then we read “the 7 habits of highly effective teens” in this we talked about how to reward ourselves after achieving a goal and how to stay focused on getting things done etc, then we made a time machine (but not really) we were supposed to make something we would want to give to ourselves if we could go back in time that could explain everything we had learned in that class, and lastly from this class we made tPOL’s, this exact post which I am sure by now you wont need an explanation about what it is.
