For the last two terms in Scimatics, we have been studying, in general, the ways of business. With each new assignment, we were given little snippets of information and tools to help us in the future with business. The unit that we are on currently is possibly the most helpful when it comes to running your own business. We are learning not only how to make a clever and efficient survey, but also how to turn it into a media that is easily presentable. Some of the other projects that we’ve done include the “Door” project where we were challenged to increase the width of the door by seven using a required amount of surface area. The next main project we finished was the “Minecraft Earthquake Building Challenge”, In this challenge we were asked to build a ten thousand square meter structure that could stand up to an earthquake. In all of these projects we learned about engineering, team building, and basic business rules. In addition, we created an impressive, thorough survey that will be used for creating our own small business at Seycove. There is one project that we just started that doesn’t fit into this category. For our science block we started a unit on cells, and I would think that it would be fairly hard to connect cells and business together without using some confusing analogy. Overall, I am very exited to see my math and science grades this term.
