Google – Year In Search 2016

For the past 6 years Google has been making a compilation of all their most searched things in a video format as an end of the year celebration. Obviously this video mostly included the 2016 U.S. Election and the very frequent shootings and terrorist attacks, mostly in the United States. One thing I didn’t quite get was the SpaceX rocket landing on a drone landing pad in the middle of the ocean because it might have been on the news or something while I was at school.

A very surprising trend that was in the video was the bottle flipping, I always thought google was not very supportive of memes but I guess since it was searched quite a bit then I understand why it would be in the video. If I would have created my own “Year in review” I would have put in something about Harambe, which is a gorilla that died and for some reason became the biggest meme of 2016. I found the Year In Search 2016 video to be very moving and I highly encourage you to check it out Here.
