2. Reflect about your overall strengths and weaknesses in Humanities. You could mention reading, writing, projects, quizzes, etc. Identify specific Humanities goals for the remaining academic year.
I have chosen to talk about my Literary Essay about the book Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer. To make this essay I completed three drafts, worked with the critique I got from each, and a final project. I visited multiple websites to find direct quotes about charity, self accomplishment, and personal gain. We worked on this for one school week, and I completed it on time. My strengths in this writing project consisted of keeping my work organized like I did in my writing for the essay “People climb deadly mountains for many reasons like self accomplishment, philanthropy, and personal gain. I am going to discuss each of these topics and investigate them.” Literary essay by Michael Fourie. I would also consider giving supporting details with quotes, and having a strong beginning, middle, as some of my strengths . What my goals are for future essays include checking over my spelling multiple times before handing it in, and also going over my grammar. In humanities I have several strengths and weaknesses. One of my big weaknesses are reading books at a fast pace. I find it very difficult to read the books we get assigned in the time period we have to read them. A goal for reading this year and for my entire time at Seycove would be to become a faster reader so that I can keep up with our school readings. I would consider projects as one of my strengths. I enjoy having a large amount of time to create something like a movie, presentation, or story. My goals for this year in humanities is to learn how to use apps like Explain Everything and Comic Life 3 for projects.
