Hi my name is Robin and welcome to my TPOL. During this TPOL I’ll be talking about my growth as a learner, my work ethic, work habits, and areas for improvement, and I’ll be showing evidence of revision, teamwork, responsibility, and production of high quality work.

First I’ll talk about how I’ve grown as a learner. During my TPOL last year we talk a little bit about if I should stay in PLP the next year because it would be very focused on interviews, and that was one of my weak points, but because of all the interviews we had to do I’ve been getting better as the year went on. An example of this is the recent Blue Sky project. We had to do an interview with some one who knew a lot about our topic, so I went to the Bosley’s on Dollarton highway to talk to an employee about my dog house, and I didn’t have a problem with that. I’ve definitely improved in that area.

Now I’ll talk about work ethic, work habits, and areas for improvement. My work ethics leave a bit to be desired. I would rather have to spend less time on an assignment and do an ok job, then spend more time on an assignment and get a better grade. About my work habits, I often procrastinate because I don’t want to do work and end up leaving little time to do assignments. Some things I could improve are trying to spend a bit more time on assignments and giving myself more time to do a better job.

Now I’ll show some evidence of revision, teamwork, responsibility, and production of high quality work. Some evidence of revision is my World War One comic book. The first draft had a lot of empty space between the pictures but then I changed it so that the pictures fit the page better. One example of team work is the correlation vs causation project. I think I worked really well with Owen on that project and I think we split up the work evenly. I think the correlation vs causation project is also a good example of responsibility because I was responsible for writing the script for the video we made. One example of high quality work is my like terms project. I think this is high quality because I did every thing we had to do for the project and the way I using food to represent like terms was very unique.

Since I won’t be in PLP next year some of the skill I’ve learned, such as being able to talk to people easier, will really help proceed into the next grade.
