So back in early December as a class PLP went down to Seattle for a field school. The theme of the field school was about crazy people of things. So someone who had done something very different from the normal. Prior to the trip we had chosen a crazy one and made a video about why they are crazy. Mine was on Richard Feynman:

After we had done draft one on that we started learning about different types of videos. We had to make a micro-documentary and a 4 shot film. We were then put into groups of around 4 people and got a list of people for our next video about crazy ones. My group was Alex, Ethan, and Will. Our person was the 12th man. If you don’t know what the 12th man is, it is the Seattle Seahawks fans that make a bunch of noise at every home game. Then we did some planning and went off to Seattle.

We all met at the school at 5 in the morning, then off we went in our bus. We got through the border just fine, and drive into Microsoft. We were at the Microsoft campus for up till around 2. We then went to hotels and dropped off our stuff. Then we went to go see the movie Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them. It was pretty good but wasn’t as Harry Potter as I had hoped and expected.

The next day we went to the MOPOP which is where the We Are 12 exhibition is. My group was around there filming and taking photos of stuff. Later in the day we went and did a duck tour and went to the Bill Gates Foundation. After dinner we went up the space needle. We also went to a laser show based around Lady Gaga.

The third and final day we went to iFly. Which is an indoor sky diving experience. It was a lot of fun. We also went to Boeing to do a tour and walk around in the visitors centre. Then we sadly went home.

Our group for the video unfortunately hadn’t gotten enough video of our voice over so we had to use a green screen for some of the video. One scene of it looks really terrible but the other two look just fine. As a class we only did two drafts before moving on but my group only managed to get one done due to lack of being able to get clips off of Will’s camera. Here is that 1 draft.
