Italy at the time wasn’t unified at consisted of only city-states, these cites states are independent land that is owed by only the people living in that area. I chose this topic because we have taken many notes on this topic for class. If my notes aren’t satisfying on the history of the renaissance, here is a videos that goes into detail concerning the time period.
The reason why Italy flourished in the renaissance was because of the Medici family and their influence on famous artists. One Medici through wealth came to rule Florence, he is named Cosimo Medici. Overall, I hope this post peaks your interest and encourages you to explore the renaissance.

I like the picture you chose for your blog post! Also, I just noticed your blog theme has an “ombre” from yellow to pinkish orange. How did you get it to look so cool? On another note, I know you’ve been to Florence before– what’s it like there? Were there any historical symbols of the Renaissance?
