Take Your Kid To Work Day 💼

2 weeks ago, I participated in Take Your Kid To Work Day 2021, an annual event were grade 9 students get to spend a day at their parents workplace to experience what its like on a job. My parents own an operate Dip Co. Delights, a local sandwich shop and deli. I went to the shop with a friend of mine, Max Louie, and we spent the afternoon as acting employees.

We engaged in several tasks like running the cash register, restocking shelves, sweeping the floor and throwing out trash. I do regularly come into work at Dip Co. Delights, because it is close to the school and a short bus ride away. I come in to help on weekends, where I work on website and social media management, and running the cash register. The highlight of the day was when my mom showed me and Max how to make some of out sandwiches for lunch.

For this project, we had to record a video of our experience and conduct an interview with an employee. I had an interview with my mom were I asked her questions about the food-retail industry.
