CampSuzuki-HoweSound-emailThis summer, 18- to 30-year-olds from across Howe Sound and Metro Vancouver will take part in the David Suzuki Foundation’s first Camp Suzuki Program! The three-part program combines summer camp with volunteer experience and leadership training to prepare youth age 18 to 30 to become Howe Sound champions.
PART ONE: CAMP
From August 9 to 14, 2015, participants will be immersed on Gambier Island in the unforgettable fun of outdoor summer camp. Evenings will be devoted to learning the hard skills needed to be successful conservation leaders.
PART TWO: VOLUNTEER
Participants will then apply their newfound skills through a six-month, part-time placement with a local community organization that works for the betterment of Howe Sound.
