Vancouver Aquarium Summer Opportunities!

VanAqLogo_50_4spotThe Vancouver Aquarium is offering FOUR different Work Experience and Volunteer opportunities this summer!
Opportunities include: Marine Educator Aqua Camps placement, Summer Interpretive Delivery placement, Marine Educator Wet Lab placement, and Gallery Assistant placement.
Do note, that as they are looking to place over 185 students this summer, so this summer their recruitment process will be slightly different for this round. They are asking any interested student to register to attend one of our Summer Youth Information Sessions (on either Thursday May 21st from 5:30pm to 8:30pm or Monday May 25th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm) in order to apply for any summer programs. At the information sessions students will be able to hear in depth about the 4 different roles they are recruiting for and will also be asked to participate in a group screening process at that time.

They therefore will not be accepting applications through their online volunteer impact database this round and instead will be advising students to register for one of these 2 information sessions via the Aquarium’s main website (www.vanaqua.org). This process means that they will be involving more participants in the Info Session than there are available positions. If you are interested please register for these sessions as soon as possible as spaces tend to get booked quickly.

Please let Ms. Parmar know if you are attending any of these sessions !
