welcome back to another fantastic blog post this one is about Rosa Parks and Colin Kaepernick these two have interested me more and more the I researched them.

I believe when Rosa Parks didn’t give up her seat and Colin kaepernick kneeled it really impacted the system of white power. Rosa Parks was a very known piece of American history, Rosa Parks was a civil rights activist who refused to give up her seat to a white passenger on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama. Her defiance sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott; its success launched nationwide efforts to end racial segregation of public facilities. As a leader of the civil rights movement, Rosa Parks received many awards during her lifetime, including the NAACP’s highest award.

Colin Kaepernick has really been talked about in the past year, he is was a quarter back for the football team the San fransico 49ers when he decided to sit on the bench during the national anthem as a protest against racial injustice. throughout the month following the NFL owners are told by trump that they should fire hime for what he has done. I feel that white power has really impacted what has happened to the both of them. white power has impacted both of them in many different ways but in some way the are the same  for example Rosa Parks was arrested for not giving up her seat to a white person on a regular transit bus and Colin Kaepernick was unsigned from the 49ers because he kneeled during the anthem for his right as a person,

both of them were hurt by white power. arrested or fired the same thing, something was taken away from them for such a small little deed. In this way they are the same because both of them fight back, Rosa started the bus boycott and Colin wrote a grievance to the NFL and its owners, in these ways I mentioned I believe that these two are the same just different era problems.
