Who has the power key visual

For the past term we have been learning about the Renaissance, one of our little projects was to make a key visual about one of three people we read about. I picked Eleanor of Aquitaine who was a brave, powerful and a hero to many.

This is the paragraph about Eleanor

This is my key visual:

Meaning of the picture:
1. The equal scales on the eyes represent Eleanor belief that men and women should be equal.
2. The medieval pink writing on the shirts represent Eleanor’s love for writing, and being the first person to encourage writing about and by women.
3. The prison bars behind her represent her being locked away for 16 years for rebelling and telling her children to rebel against Eleanor’s husband( the king of England).
4. The swords on the top of the dress represent bravery and the armour that Eleanor and her ladies wore on their crusades to Jerusalem.
5. The crown with the flags of Paris and England represent that she was royalty and Queen of both Paris and England at different points in her life.

I picked this project to put up on my blog because I was very proud of my final draft and put a lot of time and effort into this key visual.
