SLC intro

For the last little while we have been learning about the Age of Exploration. With the information we learned we were split into groups and had to make a museum exhibit. My group was doing “Means to explore” which means we had to research stuff like navigational tools, ships and wealth. At first, my group had a slow start coming up with ideas for what we would do for an interactive activity and getting the paragraphs written. We all had separate jobs to do as it was a group project. I was a group manager which means I kept everything on track and finished off the final drafts. For our activity we came up with a trading card type game where you had to role a dice to get a ship. Then you had to roll the dice again to get a certain amount of money (if you got a 1 you got 100, 2 you got 200 etc.) this money would be spent on things you could bring traveling back in that day and age. At the end of the exhibit you could write down what you would change to bring on your travels. People seemed to enjoy the game. On the day of the exhibit we really had to rush as we hadn’t printed out our information yet and we needed to hang it all up. So we quickly printed out all the exhibits we would hang up and started stapling away until it was done. Thank goodness people where coming at 5 so we had time. One thing I would change about the exhibit is probably having it in a different location as not many people came through it. Also for our exhibit I would have added a little more information
