Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. Today we are going to be doing another weekly blog post. This time we are going to be talking about looking back at what I learned during this project about Canadian life after WW2. In class we had to learn about this topic and in a final summary of it we had to write a three point essay on the development of Canada post WW2. This essay really gave me a good look back at the project and the learning that took place in the project. For this post I’m going to talk about my three points and why I chose them.
Economy:
This point is pretty much one of the most obvious ones I could have chosen. The main reason I chose this was because of the American influence on Canadian economic growth in the post war years. I think that this was a interesting debate and I gave it a lot of attention in my essay.
Human rights:
This was another big point in the Canadian development post WW2. The movement the Canadian government took in the way of equality post war was amazing but it wasn’t enough. I really wanted to talk about how it was good that they were starting towards equality with all ethnicities but give the point that it wasn’t enough and they should have done more earlier.
Social programs:
This one isn’t quite as obvious as all the other ones but I though it would be a really good subject to talk about. I really wanted to show how a post war Canadian government was really trying their best to make their citizens lives better and moving again towards a better Canadian future.
Thank you very much for reading this blog post. I hope that you have a good day and goodbye.
