Hi everyone I’m going to write a reflection on the project path. I’m going to spit this up into a couple sections for each part of the path like launch, building knowledge, develop and critique, and then present and reflect. I’m going to make this short and sweet so I don’t have to keep you here too long but I will make sure to get all the info needed. The project path is a great way to learn and I’ve been liking it so far, ill tell you why.
Launch is a very important part of the path because this is basically where you learn about the project, what you have to do, and how you do it. Its kinda like the rubric of the project. This is where you get all of the information you need to know. Its great because it introduces you to the big project your going to be working on for the next while, and its normally in a positive cool way so you get hooked. I missed the first three days of the medium is the message project and I didn’t know what I was doing for the next couple days so that just shows how important it is. I’m so grateful
Building Knowledge is definitely the most informational part of the project path in my opinion it literally says it in name. Its where you learn all about things that relate to the project and about what you have to do in general. You learn about the topic and slowly piece together your work. During this phase is where you have the most homework out of the four but doing that work will improve your grade and the quality of the final product. Its the most stressful part because we have a lot of work to do in so little time and its not much like PLP.
The Develop and Critique part is definitely my favourite part because you have your almost final draft and it just gets better during this phase. You get friendly feedback that is very helpful and you don’t feel like people are just saying its bad. You can edit little pieces of the ad like the font up top, different photo layout and stuff like that. This part of the process it not too hard because all it is is just making little edits to work that you have already finished and this part also feels the best because you know that you’ve created something great. It definitely makes you way more confident with your work once you’ve edited it with your critique. And the great thing is it usually ups your grade so I cant complain I’m pretty happy.
The Present and Reflect stage has me all over the place with thoughts. It’s definitely the most nerve racking part because you have to talk in front of lots of people that might not like your work. But the thing is you feel very good after you present, all the weight is off your shoulders and you just know your done. I took my ad, opened it, flipped my iPad around and told my group a little bit about it. Its a good thing that your only presenting in front of a couple people like we did for the user manual project it takes some pressure away. I will leave my advertisement drafts and final product and put it down below. Its also good to reflect on it to remember how fun the project actually was if you liked it. Its the review of what you did for the past couple weeks.
Right there I explained what you do in each stage of the project path and how I feel about each part. I’m going to review it and explain why I think this is the best way to learn. So I agree with the PLP teachers that this is a great way to learn because I get why every stage is how it is. I absolutely love the launch phase because without it you would not know anything about the thing your learning about. Its an introduction and thats why its first. Then you learn about that thing so your building knowledge. You take what you know and create a draft then you get some feedback on it during the develop and critique. Once you have your masterpiece made from everything leading up to this point and share it to a couple people at first then the world. You get to reflect on it which is always good. As a I said its a very good way to learn and I wouldn’t change a thing about it. I know why the teachers like it so much now. I was just okay with it before but now that i reflect on it its pretty amazing. I’m happy that in in PLP now that I look at how we learn its great. So as you can see I like it quite a bit and agree with the teachers. That’s my reflection on the project path. Ive put our groups final drafts after business critique just down below. My Individual drafts are on another post so you can check those out if you want. Our very final ad that is going to get published is still yet to come because we need some feedback from a pro advertiser. I will make sure to make a post about the final product and a reflection on it.
