Week 6🤠

Welcome back. Lets just jump into this weeks challenge, emojis. As you can tell by my lack of enthusiasm and exclamation marks, I am not psyched. This challenge gives me a lot of opportunity to grow with last year’s challenge on this topic being horrible. Even with the awesome chance to grow, the challenge is just so straight forward. I have no room to approach it with a super creative eye. It’s kinda just… do this thing. Like this. Unfortunately I am a competitive dork and I said I’m doing this challenge so lets do it y’all.

Part 1: The Mess

Last time I did this challenge, (Find my old post here,) I made a horrid stop motion film, wrote 2 grossly offensive paragraphs, and made a tragic piece of art. I definitely have room to improve on my art and my writing and its an informative and cringy look back into how much better I have gotten at writing. Overall, I am glad I got to see the mess that is my old post and feel incredibly uncomfortable in the process.

Part 2: The Art

As my old art was decustuang* I decided to take it up a notch this year. It took me a total of 4 hours and I 100% regret doing it. I’m not even in the original photo from the Alberta PLP field school but you know, Happy Holidays y’all.

Here’s the orignal:

And here’s my final image!

It’s quite a shocking image at first glance but I’m quite happy with how it turned out.

Part 3: French Emoji Guessing Game?

The challenge I’m putting this under is the guessing game challenge but it really isn’t much of a guess. The premise is to use french phrases/idioms and translate them in emoji and in English. So here’s the 3 that I made.

Part 4: Emoji Story Prompt

With this prompt given to me by Byrdseed.com I intend to write a short story. Here it is:

Once upon a time there was a very special camel named Charles. Charles spent every day in his home town, Camelville, with his friends. One day, they decided to start a band. They had a guitar player, a piano player, a lead singer, and back up vocalist but Charles couldn’t play any instruments. As he walked home he walked past Ms. Camellota standing on her balcony. “ Hia Ms. Camellota!” He shouted. “Ah!” She jumped back in surprise and knocked one of her flower pots off the edge of the railing. It landed right on one of his humps and made quite a nice sound! “Sorry!” He shouted and galloped back to where his friends were practicing. Out of breath he exclaimed, “GUYS! I know what can be my instrument!” He lightly tapped his largest hump and a sound similar to a bongo came over the whole room. “Sick!” One of his friends yelled and motioned to the others to begin playing once more. They all practiced with giant smiles on their faces that day and vowed to make beautiful music together from that day on.

I’m surprisingly happy with how that turned out and really it wasn’t that bad.

Part Five: The End

With this greatly improved post, I am thrilled to say, the end. So, The End. I hope you enjoyed and come back next week to see another reflection and improvement post.
