A few days ago, instead of going to school, I had the opportunity to spend the day with my mom in her work place. She is a Landscape Architect. I have been interested in design for quite a while so this ties in with some of my interests for a potential job when I am older. Landscape architects use a variety of skills in their work. Some important ones include design, creativity, problem-solving, plant knowledge, and communication. They also need to have an understanding of environmental sustainability and construction techniques. I cold see myself doing something similar to this in the future. Every day of her job is a little bit different, but she brought me along to everything she did in that day including: Online Calls and important Meetings with her colleagues.
If you want to hear about all of these activities in more detail, watch the video down below, that I made all about My Day In The Life as a Landscape Architect:
Overall, I had fun working with my mom because I got a little peek of what a typical day in the life of a landscape architect looks like. During this experience, I met many new people and I learned how to use many new things that help landscape architects with their job.
Thanks to my mom who took me to work with her. It was fun!
