At this year’s Annual Winter Exhibition, I had the opportunity to showcase my personal growth journey through a booth that was designed to reflect my passions and possible jobs that I am interested in. My booth was centred around my abridged resume and my business card that I designed that were personalized to me. The design incorporated elements of nature, featuring a backdrop of ocean waves. I added various personal photos that highlighted my love for outdoor activities, including camping, surfing skiing, swimming and horse riding which is one of my main activities with Dazzle my lease horse captured a few times. It was important for me to show how my personal interests shape my future career options.
As part of the project as I said before, we made resumes and business cards which were designed to showcase my professional skills and goals in an engaging way. I thought the business card really reflected me.
The resume took many drafts until it was completed. It is very much my aesthetic with natural colours and a clean, professional design. Presenting my resume in this format allowed me to introduce myself in a way that was both professional and personal, giving visitors a good view on who I am.
Overall, Winter Exhibition taught me a lot on how to present myself professionally. This was good practice for when I am trying to get a job of my own in the future weather I am at an interview or conveying myself professionally. It gave me the confidence to present my skills and passions better.
