Thank you for sharing your avatar! It looks like you did a very nice job. What app or website did you use to create it? I’ve used Voki with my 5th graders last year. They thought it was a blast because you can make them talk.
My students do not have individual blogs such as yourself. We do have a class blog. Would you recommend students have their own? What are the positives you have noticed with having your own blog?
I read your About Me page and learned you are half French Canadian. My husband is from Calgary, Alberta. Just last week we visited Whistler for the week during our fall break. We currently live in Arizona, so it was pretty far away from home for us.
I look forward to reading your future posts! Good luck with year 2!
Hi Amber,
I used Bitmoji to make my avatar. I think that it’s better for students to have their own personal blog but it really depends how old they are. If they are in grade 5 or 6 for example I think that it would really help them with their writing skills because it certainly helped me out, I really wish that I started it earlier. I think that it would also be cool for the students to interact individually with other students from around the world.
Thank you!
Hi Alex,
It’s Grace from Australia here! This is my first year doing the Student Blogging Challenge. I used app called “AvatarCreator” to make my avatar. In my All about me post it says that I’m 10. But that was last year so now I’m 11. I will update that soon! I hope we can stay connected.
Hey Alexandria, I would choose to play the clarinet but I am also the Drum major at my school. I like you’re avatar that you made for you’re self! Keep doing what you’re doing!
Hi alex,

Hi Dominic,
Awesome! It’s super cool how passionate you are for all of these instruments, do you sing too at all? Thank you!
Hey, Alex! I like your avatar! I also used Bitmoji for my avatar. How long did it take you to make it?
Thank you! My bitmoji took maybe 10 mins or so to make. What about you?
