Hello welcome back to my blog I hope you had a good summer because I did!

I have been thinking about my Tpol I created last year that would prepare me for grade 10 and I have been implementing my learning goals into my work. For example, adding more of myself into my work and goiving myself time to do my work even though I have a busy outside life.

Thus far we have been discovering the topic on why dose the world need more Canada and created podcasts about the topic!

Driving question: why does the world need more Canada?

Everyone in my class had their own episode on a specific topic for example, mine was Terry Fox. In researching and creating my podcast episode on Terry Fox, I realized just how much Canada has contributed to the world in terms of inspiring stories, humanitarian efforts, and advancements in various fields. Canada is known for its diversity, inclusivity, and peaceful nature, which are qualities that the world could definitely benefit from more of.

Thinking Thursday:

The class discussion about Jasper’s wildfire related to the curriculum and core competencies by allowing us to analyze real-world events and apply critical thinking skills. By discussing the causes and impacts of the wildfire, I was able to practice communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. It definitely helped me with my presentation skills and I notice myself getting better at presenting.

Literary analysis:

Before we started our podcast we did multiple literary analysis’s, these focused on capturing messages and important information in short story’s. Here is an example of one of mine:

Literary analysis helps develop critical thinking skills and enhance reading comprehension by understanding the deeper meaning of texts. It aligns with core competencies such as communication, critical thinking, and analysis, and supports curricular competencies like literary appreciation and understanding different genres and writing styles. Overall, literary analysis is great academic skills for success in both core and curricular competencies.

From Terry Fox’s courageous Marathon of Hope to Canada’s leadership in environmental conservation and peacekeeping efforts, it is clear that Canada has a lot to offer the global community. The world needs more Canada to serve as a beacon of hope, unity, and progress in a time of increasing division and turmoil.

Canada’s commitment to social justice, equality, and sustainability sets a positive example for other nations to follow. By embracing Canadian values and learning from their successes, we can work together to create a more peaceful, equitable, and sustainable world for future generations.

This project helped the me think carefully about different viewpoints and information. By looking closely at data and putting it together to make a strong argument, I now have a better understanding of the topic. This project made me better at critical thinking and showed me how important it is to analyze and combine information to make smart decisions. I plan to keep using these skills in future projects to tackle problems from all angles.

It took lots of revisions to get my final episode, but before I did, I had to make a script, this was mine: why does the world need more Canada script

After lots of try’s this was my final podcast:

In conclusion, the world needs more Canada to inspire, lead, and collaborate towards a better future for all. As a Canadian, I am proud to be a part of a country that values diversity, compassion, and innovation, and I believe that we can make a positive impact on the world by sharing these values with others. Let’s strive to embody the best of Canada and work together to create a better world for all.
