Hello lovely, wonderful, fantastic, and so many other positive adjectives, readers. Recently, I, along with my teammates , were tasked with creating our very own political party. In this post, I will be explaining to you what makes our party unique, why you should hypothetically vote for us, and how it relates to my last post. Shall we get started?
Yes. Yes, we shall. So, we decided that our party would be called The United Party of Canada. We chose this because we think that uniting the nation will help us overcome the obstacles that keep Canada from flourishing, while keeping the planet and the people at the forefront. Now, why and how are we different from the parties that currently exist?
Now, when my group first got together, we had some ideas of what our party was going to be about, and the general views of our party, but we really struggled with what makes our party unique. After a bit of thinking, we realized that what makes our party unique is literally in our name. We want to unite people! We, as a party, want to make Canada a better place for everyone, and we want to do that through uniting our country. We want to be different because we, as young people, have noticed a significant lack of understanding and knowledge from our government pertaining to issues that we, as a country, all care about. Do those issues actually even exist? Our party wants to bring those issues to the front, and get people talking and thinking about them.
I know, it all sounds pretty crazy. Why should you choose to vote us? I think the best way to answer that is by looking at our press release.
United Party of Canada Press Release
In my last post, I talked about how the current Liberal government, and the “first-past-the-post” voting system that they uphold, will not meet the Paris Agreement. Our party will. By actually enforcing better and more sustainable forms of green energy, transportation, housing, and by stopping government funding to many non-renewable sectors of the economy, our plan is set to exceed the Paris Agreement.
Well, thank you for reading this post, and I will see you in the next one!
