POETRY is a thing that brings people together, it expresses all the pain and anger and glorious feelings one can imagine, and more. Good poetry can convince people that they were wrong, that no matter our differences we are all people who breathe, eat, sleep, and all suffer similarly simultaneously from closely connected things.
One person could be affected by a corporate company controlling all the water in their village, while another person could be affected by the way their rights are treated within that same company, all meanwhile someone’s livlyhood as a reporter is crushed by a big business for writing a piece on water rights. Just one of many many things that could and do happen constantly.
If you ever feel anxious or worried, one is told to find their “happy place”. Other than a forest meadow by a river, in a hammock, I feel best while exploding my thoughts onto paper. One can not make a good poem, you have to find them, from deep within yourself. Everything I write is actually reall, whether it’s an emotion, an event, or something extremely exaggerated, everything I Wright is real.
Please read my book, filled of slightly exaggerated events that made me who I am today.
I used all of my own art on each page to express even more emotion through my poems.

We learned an extensive amount about different types of poems, these include:
-haikus -found poems -extended metaphors -experience poems -sound poems -personification poems -simile poems
Allong with all the usual things such as rhyme, rhythm, metaphors, similes, I learned some really different things such as:
Juxtaposition- putting things together to create something new
Euphony- two or more words put together to sound harmonious
Cacophony- a group of words that sound catastrophic or inharmonious
Assonance- repetition of vowel sounds usually used to portray emotion.
