Task #1: Educate Others
For this task I used paper to make a poster about how to find photos for your blog post. Here it is:
Task #2: Make an Image
I used this picture I took at Lake Louise Alberta:
Task #3: Image Task Cards
To practice using pictures I found these images on Unsplash that I like:
Task #4: Write a Poem
For this task I wrote a poem about the second photo for task 3!
Task #5: Picture Prompts
For this task I wrote the beginning of a story based off of another picture I found on Unsplash.
The Roadtrip
We loaded our bags into the car, then we got in and we were off. We were going on a road trip. I love road trips, but more specifically I love adventures. We drove for an hour along the ocean where I watched the waves crash from the harsh wind. Then we drove for another hour and I looked out my window to see mountains blanketed in fresh snow. Finally we made our way through a small road where bright green trees seemed to curve over the road creating a tunnel of trees. At last we had arrived at……
Where did they arrive? You can decide by finishing the story in the comments!
Thats all for this week! Thanks for Reading.

Hi Asha-
I’m really impressed by the breadth and depth of your Week #3 post. You didn’t confine yourself to one task. You challenged yourself to complete five of the posted challenges. Your creativity comes through loud and clear in each task. For your poster, is that you handwritten text? Did you create that commercial-style font? That’s attention-getting!
Is Lake Louise near you? What do you enjoy doing in your hometown? That photo reminds me of my recent trip to Boulder, Colorado, and the enormous mountaintop reservoir surrounded by wildflowers.
Where have you traveled in the United States? I’ve never visited British Columbia, but my husband has–and he has several friends there, too.
I’m also curious how you created the photo slideshow. I enjoyed that feature and would love to share it with my 8th grade Communications students. We’re from Virginia, just about 35 miles west of Washington, D.C. Come visit our class blog and then click on the three horizontal lines in the upper right to access the student blogs.
I thoroughly enjoyed your post, Asha! ๐

Hello Mrs. Rombach!
Thank you so much for your comment. My poster is handwritten text, I used a drawing app. Iโm glad you think it draws attention.
Lake Louise is not near me. Iโm in a program at my school where we travel so this year we travelled to Alberta Canada and Lake Louise was one of our stops. The program is called PLP for the Perfomance Learning Program. Boulder sounds beautiful! I love wildflowers.
Iโve travelled to many places in the US because I have a lot of family there. One of my favourite places there is Savannah Georgia. I also visit Oregon very often.
I used MetaSlider for the slideshow, its one of the plugins on edublogs. Virginia! Thats very far from me. Anyway, I will check out your blogs very soon, Iโm sure theyโre excellent.
Thanks again!

Hi Asha –
Thank you for responding to my comment! I’ll have to explore MetaSlider; I’m currently unfamiliar with it, but I love how it looks on your blog, so I’ll be checking it out!
If my family and I were to travel to Canada, what would you recommend as our must-see stops? We really enjoy being outdoors hiking or kayaking…or just driving around in a top-down Jeep. I’d love to hear your suggestions.
Thanks so much,
Mrs. Rombach from Virginia
Hi again,
British Columbia is a great place in Canada to see if you enjoy outdoor activities! We have beautiful mountains you can hike and amazing oceans where you can kayak. The weather is best in the summer though. I donโt suggest driving your Jeep with the top down during our very rainy fall and winter.
